I remember having a real cool conversation with an expat when I was in Hong Kong. I was atop Victoria Peak waiting for the sun to go down so I could take pictures of the skyscrapers at night (as you do). Well I was waiting I wandered around a bit, and ended up walking beside a white guy. We started chatting. He was a Brit who had lived in Hong Kong for a few years. He told me some cool, out of the way stuff to check out (though I never got time as I was only in town for 1 day), and we had a very interesting conversation about what he thought Hong Kong was like with the Chinese running it. It was interesting to get an inside-outsider's view of the thing.
